Wow! I can’t believe the week is already over.
It has been quite a busy one for me. I had the celebration of my youngest son’s birthday, soccer trials, band rehearsals, piano and clarinet lessons and tennis lessons all for my sons.
Add to the equation the recertification of my Senior First Aid, lots of training with my clients, my training, food preparation, dinner for the family every night (as they don’t eat what I consume) and parent information nights at school. PHEW! Am I glad the weekend is here?
My training in regard to my comp prep is going really well. I have really found my drive, focus and motivation. I am not very strong when it comes to lifting weights, but I did manage to raise the bar this week. I don’t feel it is important to focus on the amount one lifts, isolating the working muscle through proper technique gives much better results with sometimes very little resistance.
Nutrition has been spot on and I have reserved my free meal to enjoy with my family this weekend as we celebrate my son’s birthday in the city followed by fireworks.
I have also been busy writing some articles for submission. Take a look at today’s North Shore Times for my thoughts on breakfast.
Have a great weekend! xx
