Q. As a personal trainer, how do you motivate people into getting, and staying, fit?
A. Educate them into making small changes to incorporate a new lifestyle. Diets do not work, I never tell my clients what to eat. I prefer to work with the foods they enjoy and make small changes to a more healthier lifestyle. I find this approach produces sustainable results. I help them set a goal with weekly milestones to reach. This helps keep them motivated and changes their habits. We work towards a new life where exercise and healthy nutrition is a lifestyle they choose, opposed to feeling forced to exercise and always feeling deprived of the foods they want.
