Greetings from Vegas
Winning the Open Figure and Muscle Model in the 2010 WSNO/FAME World Championships here in Las Vegas, USA has been amazing.
WOW! It is like a fairytale land here with all the castle looking casinos. It is quite an experience being here for a competition. Being my first international show, it is hard to be in such an exciting place and still be in comp preparation mode.
I can’t say I have seen much of Vegas yet. I did do some shopping on the first day, but I needed to remember why I came here. Staying off my feet leading up to the show was important to keep the fluid out of my legs. I spent the majority of the time in my room, cooking food, eating and tanning up for the show. It was quite a challenge to not dirty the linen, bathroom tiles and towels with tanning lotion.
The day before the show I sat in the hotel room with the lovely Lindy Olsen with our feet up and carbing up every couple of hours.
The whole competition was awesome. I realise that I love being up on that stage and reinforcing the hard work and dedication I have put into this sport all year. Doing the Muscle Model division allowed me to let my hair done a bit and envelop a character that doesn’t come naturally. I got to wriggle my hips, flick my hair and still got to show my muscular attributes. It was so much fun.
It was a very long day and we were all exhausted at the end. Although it finished at 10pm, we did still manage to get to the Cheesecake Factory for a decent feed and I indulged in an Oreo Cheesecake. It was delicious.
Spending quality time with the lovely Lindy and awesome Amanda has been priceless. I feel I have made lifetime friends in these girls. They are genuine, honest and a whole lot of fun. I have never laughed so much in my life.
A special thank you to Dallas Olsen too. I haven’t come across many men like him. Dallas would drive us all around Vegas to all the shopping malls, sit for hours while we ladies shop without uttering a complaint. Coupled with a flu that he has developed, he is one amazing man.
I now intend to relax, venture around Vegas and eat some delicious food. I will be doing a photo shoot with Dallas Olsen over at Gold’s Gym and another with Marc Thyssen at Red Rock. I will post the photos up soon.
Bye for now and I will be back later for further updates.

Congratulations Loretta, you have done your Federation, State, Country and most importantly yourself proud, you will no doubt inspire the next generation of young ladies entering the fitness and health industry, and some will compete as a direct result of your success, which we all know does not come easily. Good on you!!!
Hi Loretta,
Congratulations with what you have achieved in the last two years and especially the recent ANB World Discovery Tour 2010 to Las Vegas with you being crowned 2 x World Champion. Take care and looking forward to seeing you soon.
